Botanical Name or Chemical Name: 2-Aminoethanesulfonic acid

Description: Taurine is a sulfur containing nonessential amino acid found in muscles (heart is a muscle) and in nervous system. It is found in meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Vegetable protein contains only low level of taurine. In the body, it is produced from methionine, cysteine and vitamin B6 - Pyridoxine.
