Description: Flax is an annual flowering plant native to Europe and Asia. It is from linaceae family. Flax seeds are small and hard seeds of flax plant. Crushed seeds are used medicinally. Flax seeds contain 3 different active ingredient: 26% of fiber (14% of soluble fiber and 12% of insoluble fiber), 40% of flax seed oil and 0.3% of lignan. They contain 20% of protein too.
