Oral Actions
Recommended DosageTake 0.5-1.5 g of cystine daily, in divided doses, for many months. Cautions & Side EffectsSafety problems are unknown if used as suggested. Overdose may produce nausea. Do not use it if you have cystinosis or fanconi syndrome. Use it with caution if you are diabetic or if you have a medical history of kidney stones in the family. Safety in pregnant and nursing women, in children and people with liver or kidney disease is unknown. Available FormsCystine is available in tablet and capsule form. |
