Description: Carnitine is an amino acid, composed of two other amino acids: methionine and lysine. It is found in meat and diary products. It helps to produce energy from fat, by transporting fatty acids into mitochondria. It is used mainly for cardiovascular and muscle conditions.

Cautions & Side Effects

There is no known safety problems if used at suggested dosage. Do not use it if you have hypothyroidism or kidney and liver disease. Higher doses of carnitine may lead to diarrhea), excess energy, restlessness and perhaps {insomnia. Safety for pregnant or nursing women and for children is unknown.

Available Forms

Carnitine is available in tablet and capsule form. Do not take D-carnitine.
