Recommended DosageTake 0.5-2.0 g of betaine hydrochloride per meal, for many months. Use only if you have low stomach acid. Cautions & Side EffectsThere is no known safety problems if used at suggested dosage. Do not use it if you have peptic ulcer or GERD. The safety for pregnant or breast-feeding women, for children and for people with kidney or liver disease is unknown.
