Description: Artichoke is a perennial plant native to Mediterranean regions of north Africa and south Europe. Artichoke is from asteraceae (compositae) family. Artichoke flower buds are known for their culinary uses and artichoke leaves for their medicinal uses (mainly for liver and gallbladder conditions).
