Description: Alpha lipoic acid is a sulfur containing, fat and water soluble fatty acid. It is a powerful antioxidant, it is found in every cells of the body and is one of the substances that helps sugar (glucose) turn into energy.

Recommended Dosage

Take 0.3-1.4 g of alpha lipoic acid daily in divided doses for many months. If you use R lipoic acid, use only 50% of suggested dosage.

Cautions & Side Effects

There is no known safety problems if used at suggested dosage. Safety during pregnancy and breast-feeding is unknown.
Side effects: Allergic skin rash, gas or bloating.
High doses may create nausea, stomach upset, hypoglycemia, hyperactivity, fatigue and insomnia.
