Supplements for Oral Use
- N-Acetylcysteine
   
N-Acetylcysteine increases glutathione levels; loosens the mucus and eye secretions. Take 0.5-1.0 g of N-acetylcysteine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Multivitamin & minerals
 
Multivitamin & minerals are a nutritional support; they provide a multitude of vitamins and minerals; alleviate symptoms. Take multivitamin & minerals daily lifelong, in divided doses, as suggested on the label.
- Flax seed oil

Flax seed oil alleviates dry eye and other symptoms. Take 10-30 g of flax seed oil daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- GLA

GLA alleviates dry eye and other symptoms. Take 300-600 mg of GLA daily, in divided doses, with meals, for many months. If you take 2-4 g of black currant seed oil, containing 15% of GLA or 1.25-2.50 g of borage oil, containing 24% of GLA or 3-6 g of evening primrose oil, containing 10% of GLA you receive 300-600 mg of GLA.
- Aloe
Aloe enhances immune system; alleviates symptoms. Take 40-80 ml of aloe gel or juice daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Cetyl myristoleate
Cetyl myristoleate is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take 400-600 mg of cetyl myristoleate daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Citrus bioflavonoids
Citrus bioflavonoids alleviate symptoms. Take 2-3 g of citrus bioflavonoids daily, in divided doses, for many months.
