- 5-HTP
 
5-HTP has a calming and relaxing effect; promotes serotonin production; elevates mood; alleviates depression. Take 100-200 mg of 5-HTP at night, on an empty stomach, for many months.
- St. John's wort
 
St. John's wort has a calming and relaxing effect; elevates mood; promotes serotonin production; alleviates depression. Take 0.9 g of standardized St. John's wort extract daily, containing 0.3% of hypericin, in divided doses, for many months.
- Tryptophan
 
Tryptophan promotes serotonin production; elevates mood; alleviates depression and other symptoms. Take 2-6 g of tryptophan daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Vitamin D
 
Vitamin D helps to overcome vitamin D deficiency; elevates mood; alleviates symptoms. Take 400-800 IU of vitamin D daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- DHA

DHA is an omega 3 fatty acid; improves mental and brain function; alleviates depression and other symptoms. Take 1-2 g of DHA daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Fish oil

Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; nourishes nerves; alleviates depression and other symptoms. Take 6-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months.
- GLA

GLA nourishes nerve; alleviates depression and other symptoms. Take 300-600 mg of GLA daily, in divided doses, with meals, for many months. If you take 2-4 g of black currant seed oil, containing 15% of GLA or 1.25-2.50 g of borage oil, containing 24% of GLA or 3-6 g of evening primrose oil, containing 10% of GLA you receive 300-600 mg of GLA.
