Supplements for Oral Use
- Acetyl carnitine

Acetyl carnitine helps regenerate sciatic nerve; reduces and prevents nerve damage; alleviates symptoms. Take 2-3 g of acetyl carnitine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Black cohosh

Black cohosh relaxes muscles; reduces nerve pain. Take 80-120 mg of standardized black cohosh extract daily, containing 2.5% of triterpene glycosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Bromelain

Bromelain is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates pain and other symptoms. Take 1-4 g (2,000-8,000 MCU) of bromelain daily, between meals, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Carnitine

Carnitine helps regenerate sciatic nerve; reduces and prevents nerve damage. Take 2-4 g of carnitine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- GLA

GLA is an anti-inflammatory; nourishes nerves; reduces inflammation and nerve pain. Take 300-600 mg of GLA daily, in divided doses, with meals, for many months. If you take 2-4 g of black currant seed oil, containing 15% of GLA or 1.25-2.50 g of borage oil, containing 24% of GLA or 3-6 g of evening primrose oil, containing 10% of GLA you receive 300-600 mg of GLA.
- Wintergreen leaf

Wintergreen leaf is an analgesic; contains aspirin like methyl salicylate; alleviates nerve pain. Take wintergreen leaf, in tea form, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Burdock root
Burdock root alleviates symptoms. Take 3-6 g of dried burdock root daily, in tea or capsule form, in divided doses, for many months.
