Supplements for Oral Use
- Black currant
 
Black currant alleviates symptoms. Take black currant leaves daily, in divided doses, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Black cohosh

Black cohosh is an antispasmodic; alleviates spasms; relaxes muscles; alleviates pain. Take 80-120 mg of standardized black cohosh extract daily, containing 2.5% of triterpene glycosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Black pepper oil

Black pepper oil stimulates circulation, alleviates pain. Take diluted black pepper oil daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Blue violet leaf

Blue violet leaf alleviates pain. Take blue violet leaf daily, in divided doses, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Boneset

Boneset relieves pain caused by rheumatism. Take 3-6 g of boneset daily, in tea form, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Burdock root

Burdock root is an anti-inflammatory, blood and liver cleanser and detoxifier; alleviates symptoms. Take 3-6 g of dried burdock root daily, in tea or capsule form, in divided doses, for many months.
- White willow bark

White willow bark is an analgesic, an anti-inflammatory and an antirheumatic; reduces inflammation; alleviates pain and other symptoms. Take white willow bark extract daily, containing 120-240 mg of salicin, in divided doses, for many months.
Supplements for Topical Use
- Camphor oil

Camphor oil improves blood circulation locally; alleviates pain and other symptoms. Apply a few drops of pure or diluted camphor oil topically 2-3 times daily, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Castor oil

Wintergreen essential oil is an anodyne, an anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic; contains aspirin like methyl salicylate; reduces inflammation and alleviates pain. Apply wintergreen essential oil containing topical preparation 1-2 times daily, for a limited time, as suggested on the label.
- Wintergreen leaf
Wintergreen leaf is an anodyne, an antispasmodic and an anti-inflammatory; contains aspirin like methyl salicylate; reduces inflammation and alleviates pain. Use wintergreen leaf tea as a wash, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Yerba santa
Yerba santa is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation and pain. Apply yerba santa containing topical preparation 2-4 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
