Supplements for Oral Use
- Fish oil
Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; softens and soothes the skin; alleviates symptoms. Take 3-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months.
- Flax seed
Flax seed softens and soothes the skin; alleviates symptoms. Take 25-50 g of crushed flax seed daily, in divided doses, with a glass of water, for many months.
Supplements for Topical Use
- Castor oil
 
Castor oil reduces itching and alleviates symptoms. Apply pure castor oil or castor oil containing topical preparation 2-3 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- GLA
 
GLA is an emollient and mucilaginous; softens and soothes the skin and calms inflamed tissue. Apply black currant seed oil or borage oil or evening primrose oil containing topical preparation 2-5 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Almond oil

Almond oil is an emollient; softens and soothes the skin; alleviates itching. Apply pure almond oil or almond oil containing topical preparation 2-3 times daily, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Bromelain

Bromelain is an anti-inflammatory; soothes and heals damaged tissue; alleviates symptoms. Apply bromelain containing topical preparation 2-4 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Calendula

Calendula has a soothing action; accelerates healing and tissue repair. Apply a topical preparation containing calendula many times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Ozonized sunflower oil

Ozonized sunflower oil is antibacterial and antiseptic; inhibits bacteria growth and prevents infection. Apply ozonized sunflower oil or ozonized sunflower oil containing topical preparation 2-3 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Bloodroot
Bloodroot alleviates symptoms. Apply bloodroot containing topical preparation on affected area many times daily, for many days, as suggested on the label.
