Supplements for Oral Use
- DHA
DHA is an omega 3 fatty acid; it is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take 0.5-1.5 g of DHA daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Fish oil
Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; it is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take 6-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months.
- Flax seed
Flax seed is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take 25-50 g of crushed flax seed daily, in divided doses, with a glass of water, for many months.
- Glutamine
Glutamine maintains health of inner wall of the colon; accelerates tissue healing; alleviates symptoms. Take 1.5-5.0 g of glutamine daily, in divided doses, between meals, for many months.
- Green tea
Green tea is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take green tea extract daily, containing 0.5-1.5 g of catechins, in divided doses, for many months.
- Wild yam
Wild yam is an anti-inflammatory; reduces rectal inflammation and alleviates other symptoms. Take 3 g of dried wild yam root daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Zinc
Zinc is an anti-inflammatory; an immune enhancer and a nutritional support; reduces inflammation and alleviates symptoms. Take 25-50 mg of zinc daily, in divided doses, for many months. Better if used with copper.
