- AHCC
  
AHCC enhances immune system; reduces chemotherapy side effects. Take 1-3 g of AHCC daily, in divided doses, between meals, for many months.
- Coenzyme Q10
  
Coenzyme Q10 enhances immune system; reduces chemotherapy side effects. Take 300-600 mg of coenzyme Q10 daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Glutamine
  
Glutamine alleviates diarrhea; helps to produce protein and to keep muscle and other tissue mass; accelerates tissue healing; reduces side effects and intestinal damage. Take 5-15 g of glutamine daily, in divided doses, between meals, for many months.
- Ellagic acid
 
Ellagic acid reduces chemotherapy side effects. Take 250-500 mg of ellagic acid daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Fish oil
 
Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; enhances effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs; reduces chemotheraty side effects. Take 6-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months.
- Probiotics
 
Probiotics promote gastrointestinal health; alleviate chemotherapy induced diarrhea. Take probiotics daily, in divided doses, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Acetyl carnitine

Acetyl carnitine protects against peripheral neuropathy symptoms induced by chemotherapy. Take 1-3 g of acetyl carnitine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Arginine

Arginine enhances immune system; reduces chemotherapy side effects. Take 2-6 g of arginine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Astragalus

Astragalus is an adaptogen; enhances immune system; prevents infection; reduces lack of appetite induced by chemotherapy. Take 10-15 g of dried astragalus root daily, in tea form, in divided doses, for many months.
- Beta-carotene

Beta-carotene is an antioxidant; reduces free radicals; prevents and treats mouth sores. Take 25,000-50,000 IU of beta-carotene daily, in divided doses, for many months. Do not use synthetic beta-carotene if you are a smoker. It may increase the risk of some type of cancers.
