Supplements for Oral Use
- Flax seed oil

Flax seed oil improves nail growth; alleviates symptoms. Take 10-20 g of flax seed oil daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- GLA

GLA improves nail growth; alleviates symptoms. Take 300-600 mg of GLA daily, in divided doses, with meals, for many months. If you take 2-4 g of black currant seed oil, containing 15% of GLA or 1.25-2.50 g of borage oil, containing 24% of GLA or 3-6 g of evening primrose oil, containing 10% of GLA you receive 300-600 mg of GLA.
- Zinc

Zinc is a nutritional support; it helps to overcome zinc deficiency; reduces white spots on nails and corrects spoon shaped nails. Take 25-50 mg of zinc daily, in divided doses, for many months. Better if used with copper.
- Fish oil
Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; improves nail growth; alleviates symptoms. Take 6-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months.
- Flax seed
Flax seed improves nail growth; alleviates symptoms. Take 25-50 g of crushed flax seed daily, in divided doses, with a glass of water, for many months.
- Glutamine
Glutamine improves nail growth; alleviates symptoms. Take 1.5-3.0 g of glutamine daily, in divided doses, between meals, for many months.
- Green tea
Green tea is an antioxidant; neutralizes free radicals; alleviates symptoms. Take green tea extract daily, containing 0.5-1.5 g of catechins, in divided doses, for many months.
