Supplements for Oral Use
- Chastetree berry
 
Chastetree berry is a progesteronic; reduces prolactin production; alleviates pain. Take 30-60 mg of dried chastetree berry extract daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- GLA
 
GLA improves hormonal balance; alleviates symptoms. Take 300-600 mg of GLA daily, in divided doses, with meals, for many months. If you take 2-4 g of black currant seed oil, containing 15% of GLA or 1.25-2.50 g of borage oil, containing 24% of GLA or 3-6 g of evening primrose oil, containing 10% of GLA you receive 300-600 mg of GLA.
- Bilberry

Bilberry is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates symptoms. Take standardized bilberry extract daily, containing 60-120 mg of anthocyanosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Black cohosh

Black cohosh improves hormonal balance; alleviates symptoms. Take 80-120 mg of standardized black cohosh extract daily, containing 2.5% of triterpene glycosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Iodine

Iodine alleviates pain; alleviates symptoms. Take 100-200 mcg of iodine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Vitamin E

Vitamin E alleviates symptoms. Take 400-800 IU of vitamin E daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Alfalfa
Alfalfa improves hormonal balance; alleviates symptoms. Take 0.5-1.0 g of dried alfalfa leaf daily, in divided doses, for many months. If you want to use seeds, use heat treated varieties. Prefer alfalfa supplements that do not contain canavanine.
