Supplements for Oral Use
- Oxerutins
   
Oxerutins reduce swellings, edema and water retention. Effective for lower leg edema for people with diabetes and postsurgical edema. Take 2-3 g of oxerutins daily, in divided doses, for many months. May be used by pregnant women.
- Coumarin
  
Coumarin alleviates symptoms. Take coumarin daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label. Use this product under the control of an experienced practitioner.
- Diosmin
  
Diosmin strengthens capillary walls; protects collagen; alleviates symptoms. Take 0.5-1.0 g of diosmin daily, in divided doses, for many months. Works better with hesperidin.
- Butcher's broom
 
Butcher's broom improves blood circulation; protects blood vessels; reduces edema. Take standardized butcher's broom daily, containing 10-30 mg of ruscogenine, in divided doses, for many months.
- Hesperidin
 
Hesperidin strengthens capillary walls; reduces swellings; protects collagen; alleviates symptoms. Take 1-3 g of hesperidin daily, in divided doses, for many months. Works better with diosmin.
- Horse chestnut
 
Horse chestnut strengthens blood vessel walls; protects collagen; reduces edema. Take esculin free horse chestnut extract daily, containing 100-150 mg of aescin, in divided doses, for many months.
- OPC's
 
OPC's strengthen blood vessel and capillary walls; protect collagen; reduce leg edema and other edemas. Take 100-300 mg of OPC's daily, in divided doses, for many months.
