Supplements for Oral Use
- Magnesium
   
Magnesium relaxes muscles; alleviates menstrual cramps; alleviates menstrual pain. Take 0.5-1.0 g of magnesium daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Coleus forskohlii
  
Coleus forskohlii is an antispasmodic; alleviates menstrual pain. Take standardized coleus forskohlii daily, containing 30-60 mg of forskolin, in divided doses, for many months.
- Dong quai
  
Dong quai is an estrogenic; alleviates menstrual cramps; alleviates menstrual pain. Take 2-4 g of dong quai daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Fish oil
  
Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids; it is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation; alleviates menstrual cramps and pain. Take 6-9 g of fish oil daily, containing 18% EPA and 12% DHA, in divided doses, for many months. Use it on a regular basis.
- Vitamin B3 - Niacin
  
Vitamin B3 - Niacin improves blood circulation; alleviates menstrual pain. Take 100-300 mg of niacin daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Vitamin E
  
Vitamin E is an antioxidant; neutralizes free radicals; alleviates menstrual pain. Take 400-800 IU of vitamin E daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Black haw root
 
Black haw root alleviates menstrual cramps and pain. Take black haw root daily, in divided doses, for many months, as suggested on the label.
