Supplements for Oral Use
- Eucalyptus oil
 
Eucalyptus oil is an antitussive; relieves cough. Take eucalyptus oil as a lozenge daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Horehound
 
Horehound is an expectorant; relieves cough. Take 2.5-5.0 g of horehound daily, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Marshmallow
 
Marshmallow is a demulcent; contains mucilage; it is an antitussive; relieves cough; soothes respiratory system. Take 4-6 g of marshmallow root daily, in tea or capsule form, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Osha
 
Osha is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs; relieves cough. Take osha daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Sundew
 
Sundew relieves cough; relieves spasmodic cough. Take 3 g of sundew daily, in capsule form or 3-8 g in tea form, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Thyme
 
Thyme is an antibacterial; fights infection; it is an antispasmodic, antitussive and expectorant; relieves spasmodic cough and whooping cough. Take 3-6 g of thyme daily, in tea form, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Wild cherry bark
 
Wild cherry bark is an antispasmodic, an antitussive and an expectorant; promotes mucus elimination; relieves irritating cough. Take wild cherry bark daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.

- Camphor oil
 
Camphor oil is an antitussive; relieves cough; promotes expel the mucus from throat and lungs. Use camphor oil, many times daily, as inhalation.
- Eucalyptus oil
 
Eucalyptus oil is an antitussive; relieves cough. Use eucalyptus oil, many times daily, as inhalation.
- Agrimony

Agrimony is an astringent and antiseptic; reduces infection, inflammation and pain. Use agrimony tea as a gargle many times daily, for many weeks.
- Benzoin oil

Benzoin oil is an expectorant; helps eliminate lung secretions; alleviates symptoms. Use benzoin oil by inhalation daily, as suggested on the label.
- Zinc

Zinc is an anti-infectious; fights infection; reduces duration and severity; relieves cough and alleviates symptoms. Take zinc lozenges daily (containing zinc gluconate or zinc acetate), in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
