Supplements for Oral Use
- Folic acid
  
Folic acid reduces colon cancer risk, specially if alcohol consumption is present or you are on ulcerative colitis medication. Take 3-6 mg of folic acid daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Green tea
  
Green tea is an antioxidant; neutralizes free radicals; enhances immune system; reduces colon cancer risk. Take green tea extract daily, containing 0.5-1.5 g of catechins, in divided doses, for many months.
- Arginine
 
Arginine enhances immune system; used for prevention. Take 1.5-3.0 g of arginine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Bilberry
 
Bilberry reduces colon cancer risk. Take standardized bilberry extract daily, containing 60-120 mg of anthocyanosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Fiber
 
Fiber reduces colon cancer risk. Take fiber (mainly insoluble fiber) daily, in divided doses, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Garlic
 
Garlic enhances immune system; reduces colon cancer risk. Take garlic, containing 5-15 mg of alliin or 2.5-5.0 mg of allicin potential or 2-6 g of aged garlic daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Lignan
 
Lignan is an antineoplastic; reduces colon cancer risk. Take 30-120 mg of lignan (= to 10-40 g of crushed flax seed) daily, in divided doses, for many months.
