- Horehound
  
Horehound is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take 2.5-5.0 g of horehound daily, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Mullein
  
Mullein is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take 15-30 g (3-6 teaspoon) of mullein leaves daily, in tea form, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- N-Acetylcysteine
  
N-Acetylcysteine is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take 0.5-3.0 g of N-acetylcysteine daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Wild cherry bark
  
Wild cherry bark is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take wild cherry bark daily, in divided doses, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Anise oil
 
Anise oil is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take 1 drop of anise oil daily, in a tea or in a juice, in divided doses, for many days or use it by inhalation.
- Elecampane
 
Elecampane is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take 2-5 g of dried elecampane root daily, in tea form, in divided doses, for many months.
- Eucalyptus oil
 
Eucalyptus oil is an expectorant; promotes the expulsion of mucus from throat and lungs. Take eucalyptus oil daily, containing 400-600 mg of cineole or 1-5 drops of eucalyptus oil in divided doses, for many weeks. Use this product under the control of an experienced practitioner.
