- Boswellia
  
Boswellia is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Take standardized boswellia extract daily, containing 0.5-1.5 g of boswellic acids, in divided doses, for many months.
- Bromelain
  
Bromelain is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Take 1-4 g (2,000-8,000 MCU) of bromelain daily, between meals, in divided doses, for many weeks.
- Butterbur
  
Butterbur is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Take 100-200 mg of standardized and pyrrolizidine alkaloids free butterbur extract daily, containing 15-30 mg of petasin, in divided doses, for many months.
- Ginkgo
  
Ginkgo is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Take 120-240 mg of standardized ginkgo extract daily, containing 24% of flavone glycosides, in divided doses, for many months.
- Oxerutins
  
Oxerutins are anti-inflammatory; they reduce inflammation. Take 1-2 g of oxerutins daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Picrorhiza
  
Picrorhiza is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Take 0.5-1.5 g of dried picrorhiza rhizome daily, in divided doses, for many months.
- Proteolytic enzymes
  
Proteolytic enzymes are anti-inflammatory; they reduce inflammation. Take proteolytic enzymes daily, in divided doses, between meals, for many months, as suggested on the label.

- Cayenne
  
Cayenne is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Apply cayenne topical cream, containing 0.025–0.075% capsaicin, 3-4 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Licorice
  
Licorice is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Apply a topical preparation containing minimum 2% of licorice 2-4 times daily, for many months, as suggested on the label.
- Oxerutins
  
Oxerutins are anti-inflammatory; they reduce inflammation. Apply oxerutins containing topical preparation 2-5 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Aloe
 
Aloe is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Apply a topical preparation containing minimum 0.5% of aloe 2-4 times daily, for many weeks, as suggested on the label.
- Alpha lipoic acid
 
Alpha lipoic acid is an anti-inflammatory; reduces inflammation. Apply a topical preparation containing minimum 5% of alpha lipoic acid 2-3 times daily, for many months, as suggested on the label.
